Preet Sandhu is a Partner at Gallo LLP Chartered Professional Accountants. He graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2009. After graduating from the U of A, he articled at a mid-size national firm, where he and Jonathan Gallo first met and worked together. Preet is a Chartered Professional Accountant, passing the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountant’s national evaluation in 2011. He also completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program in 2022. His passion for business, accounting, and entrepreneurialism started young as his family is involved both in business and the community.
Preet understands what it means to bring value to the table and making businesses succeed. He has a wide range of skills, from auditing large institutional clients to providing tax and accounting advice to small owner managed businesses. He specifically enjoys integrating corporate and personal tax planning at the owner/operator level and is always keen to find efficiencies in business operations and tax structure.
Preet recently joined the Boards of the Sherwood Park Chamber of Commerce as well as the Belvedere Golf and Country Club. Preet is also the past Treasurer for Kids Up Front Edmonton, a local charity whose sole purposes is to create opportunities and life-changing experiences for children, youth and families facing financial and/or social barriers by providing event tickets, that would otherwise go unused.
When Preet isn’t working, he is spending as much time as he can with his two young children and wife, while trying to balance all the sports he loves to watch, including hockey, basketball, football, tennis and golf. Speaking of golf, he is yet to beat his Partner, Jon, in a round. When the time comes, he is confident that his persistence to practicing putting and chipping, will give him the edge to finally beat him. After all, competition is healthy, it is the backbone of the Alberta business spirit.
